Exploring London with the kids

We came across the entrance to M & M world and after taking a couple of photos, the doors suddenly opened and we were greeted by the staff clapping, waving and singing to “Treasure” by Bruno Mars!

We were pleasantly surprised and felt like royalty to be serenaded as we walked in as the first customers for the day! The kids especially loved the special treatment.

Getting our bearings in London

Firstly, we couldn’t have asked for better behaved kids on the plane. When we first arrived in Dubai to stretch our legs and go to the toilet, we had literally 15 minutes before we got back on the plane. Aubrey wasn’t very happy about that (I don’t blame her) and had a tiny meltdown before falling asleep. Other than that, it was relatively drama-free and we arrived in London in good spirits!

We had more than a dozen suitcases and together with 5 children and a stroller, we had a difficult time moving everything and everyone from airport to our accommodation. We caught the tube for the very first time, and our suitcases took up so much space! Not to mention the amount of stairs which Mark and Papa Ed had to walk up and down repeatedly with 2 suitcases in tow. I think people thought we were crazy or brave to be travelling with 5 kids. And in the rain.

We finally arrived at our apartment in the beautiful Covent  Garden. It was a great space, the kids loved it and spread out over 2 levels. The location was excellent, pretty much close to EVERYTHING! We walked EVERYWHERE! I think our first time using the Tube traumatised us :)
